APS Family Science Night for Elementary Schools
What is it?
Family Science Night is designed to support and promote science education at home and in the classroom. Hands-on activities let families explore the ways in which science plays a roll in daily life.
Sample Kits
Rooms are set up with 36 activity sets with self-directed task card and all materials. Parents and children (preK-ms) select tasks to work on together.
The activity kits provide an opportunity for parents to become more involved in their children's science education. These activities demystify science education for children and their parents and enhance partnerships between home and school.
Family Science Nights are held at elementary schools throughout the district. School students and their parents are invited to attend.
